LED Performance has tested the YFZ450 extensively with the help of Extreme Dirt Track Pro Rider Russell McWhorter . We have found a few major performance hinderances and designed products to correct these problem areas and extract the most power from your YFZ. Engine Packages

Standard-Bore Packages........ The LED YFZ450 engine package will get you ahead of the pack. Horsepower and torque are dramatically improved at all RPM. Dyno testing has shown as much as an 6 HP gain at 4000RPM, 13HP gain at 7000RPM, and 21HP gain at 9000RPM. Click HERE for Dyno Chart.
........ The heart of this kit is 5-Valve YFZ cylinder head which receives precision porting work, combustion chamber modifications, and valve seat cutting and blending. Each head is flow-bench tested to ensure head flow is substantially improved, resulting in much improved power output at mid and upper RPMs.
........ An X style forged high-compression CP piston adds to the acceleration to produce a healthy torque curve with much improved peak torque numbers. Throttle response, low RPM pulling power, and rev-out are greatly improved.
........ Each camshaft is chosen based upon the needs of each customer to produce a broad spread of power from low RPM all the way to the rev-limit. The camshaft package can be changed depending on the type of power delivery that you prefer.
........ Each head is re-assembled with the valves installed and the valve springs set to the exact seat pressure needed for the camshaft.

Big_Bore Packages ........How big do you want to go? We install our wet sleeve into the cylinder to increase the bore size to your desired CC options. The sleeve improves ring-seal and does a better job relieving heat from the piston in comparison to the Nickasil Bore. Bring your 04-05 YFZ up to a true 449cc or go up to 480cc with your 06-08. For even more displacement we install Stroker Crankshafts.
........ A great option for the big-bore kit are the oversized valves which allow more high-velocity air to fill up the cylinder, extracting the most potential out of your Big-Bore machine.

Performance Products

Camshaft Set : We have 2 Camshaft options for the YFZ depending upon whether you like bottom to midrange power or mid to top-end power.

Heavy Duty Valve Spring Set: To accomodate the increased RPM, we suggest installing stiffer valve springs to prevent the exhaust valve from jumping off the cam lobe at high-RPM.

High-Compression Piston: For more acceleration, install a 13 or 13.5:1 CP Piston. Each of these pistons incorporates an "X" style forging for addition strength, durability and weight reduction, in addition to the power properties.
